A tour supporting clean energy rolled through mid-Missouri on Saturday, saying it’s necessary to rebuild the economy, restore communities, and save the planet. It’s part of a simple mission for the bus tour, which kicked off Thursday in New Orleans and will wrap up next Wednesday in Washington. About 40 people attended Saturday’s event in Columbia…With the help of Yearwood, Al Gore’s Repower America and the National Hip Hop Caucus came together to raise awareness and promote a clean energy economy. Following the rally, participants handed out home weatherization kits to some of Columbia’s First Ward residents.
