Efforts to push climate legislation in Congress have gone virtual, with several South Dakotans joining Repower America’s interactive Repower Wall to voice their support. “The Repower Wall shows once and for all that Americans support immediate action to build a clean energy future and solve the climate crisis,” Alliance for Climate Protection president and chief executive officer Maggie L. Fox said in a statement. Thousands more are being asked to add their voice. “I believe in clean energy,” Charlie Johnson, a farmer and former Lake County commissioner, said in his message. “I believe in a healthy environment and a more viable economy for South Dakota, and better times for a new generation of young people in South Dakota. Clean energy and young people go together.”
