Clean up your act before the earth is destroyed. That’s the message from hundreds of Mainers, to senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. A group calling themselves “Repower Maine” organized an event Thursday to get the word out to congress that action needs to be taken to get the climate crisis under control. The group collected hundreds of video resolutions from people all over the state, pledging to reduce their carbon footprint. They say changes need to be made, and now is the time. In an effort to get politicians to work together and support clean energy, the videos were delivered to senator Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. Similar messages are being delivered to members of Congress all over the country.
