Check out photos and media coverage from the New Year’s resolution video truck blitz for clean energy

In the spirit of the New Year, Repower America members from all across the country made ‘Clean Energy Resolutions’ – video declarations of what they will do in their personal lives this New Year to build a clean energy future. For the first two weeks in January, Repower America members in Indiana, Maine, Missouri, Ohio and Virginia, delivered their Clean Energy Resolutions directly to their Senators via video trucks outside of Senate district offices, asking them to make their own Clean Energy Resolutions this year.

The Clean Energy Resolutions video truck visits drew interest from many local media outlets –– from regional dailies to local television and radio. Here is a sampling of the coverage:

In Lobsterman Park, large faces bobbed into view on what looked like big-screen TVs attached to the side of a box truck. The national campaign to bring more than 52,000 videos to senate district offices featured something different — the use of large video trucks, broadcasting the recorded messages on their screens. Welcome to the latest strategy to promote comprehensive clean energy and climate legislation in Washington, D.C.” — Portland Daily Sun (ME)

A group calling themselves “Repower Maine” organized an event Thursday to get the word out to congress that action needs to be taken to get the climate crisis under control.” — WGME CBS – Portland (ME)

Hundreds of Virginia residents have made ‘Clean Energy Resolutions’ to make changes which will help save them money and lower their personal carbon footprint. However, their individual efforts alone are not enough; they are asking Webb to make a similar resolution to help repower America, end dependence on foreign oil, and help pass clean energy legislation by Earth Day 2010.” –– WHSV ABC 3 – Staunton/Shenandoah (VA)
