A message from Giselle Barry, Communications Director of Climate Protection Action Fund’s Repower America Campaign.
You’ve got what Biz Markie needs — a sense of humor, some great dance moves and a commitment to a clean energy revolution.
Hundreds of supporters like you from all across the country joined hip hop legend DJ Biz Markie to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day by recording a clean energy remix of his classic song, “Just a Friend” — and some of our staff couldn’t resist either!
Watch the Repower America Earth Day Remix video and share it with your friends.

With our planet facing a generational challenge and our leaders falling far short in their response to the urgency of the climate crisis, it’s easy to succumb to doom and gloom. But each of us came to this movement because of the joy we find in working together to build a sustainable future for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren.
Today, on the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, we have come together in this video to share that inspiration — all while joining in the call for the strong clean energy and climate legislation our nation needs. The video will be on the front page of YouTube today, and it’s a great opportunity to spread the call for immediate action to as many new people as possible.
So please, take a moment to watch this one-of-a-kind video celebrating the faces and voices of our diverse and creative climate movement, and share its message with your friends and family today.

Thanks for being a part of this historic movement.
P.S. Today is our Earth Day Revolution calling campaign. Thousands of supporters have already made calls to their Senators in support of clean energy. If you haven’t yet, please take a moment and call your Senator now.

I got a call earlier tonite to ask me to call my representative to ask them to vote for the clean energy bill. However, they had the wrong number as the phone I reached did not allow me to leave a message for Senator Webb. They just said to call back during office hours.
Hi,
Could you tell me why the issues in the following 4 minute video are not in your discussion?

Isn’t animal factory farming the #1 environmental / health issue facing our planet?
Why should we wait for politicians to make the changes needed? I think we can all see how that’s going. WE have to make the changes in our own lifestyles individually or we are doomed. Turn off the computer and go plant some vegetables.
Listen,
Cap and trade is a lousy way to stop pollution and that is not creating clean energy, its just more taxes. The oil companies have the rights to lithium batteries and a whole lot more and are part of the problem. Another is one Dept of Energy ! 20 years and 20 elite labs working with 100s of thousands of people and millions of dollars and nothing! Not one gallon of gas saved. Do you know why? Because it gets sucked into the military industrial complex and becomes classified. Check out Dr Steven Greer and the Disclosure Project for the real info!
